OPNET SWEEP RESULTS IN THREE METH-RELATED ARRESTSThree arrests related to methamphetamine dealing were made last week in the Forks area, according to a report from Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron of the Clallam County Sheriffs Department. The Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team made the arrests, following up on the Crystal Rain sweep made in late August of meth dealers in the West End and down to Grays Harbor. The team worked with the Forks Police Department and other local agencies. Several persons arrested are alleged to be involved in methamphetamine sales and distribution in communities throughout the West End. Two search warrants were executed by the OPNET team, which included representatives from the Clallam County Sheriffs Department, the Forks Police Department, the National Park Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and agents from Coast Guard Investigative Service. One warrant resulted in the arrest of William Strampher, 54, and Jessica Brimmer, 30, who were arrested without incident following the execution of a search at their Steelhead Avenue home, located about half way between Forks and Beaver. Strampher was booked for delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of heroin and being a felon in possession of a firearm, while Brimmer faces charges of delivery of methamphetamine. Michael Padgett, 35, of Forks had been arrested earlier on a traffic stop in Forks by the Fork police. OPNET and the Forks police had already developed probable cause for Padgetts arrest for delivery of methamphetamine. The result of that investigation and the arrest led to a search warrant of a second location in Forks where methamphetamine was found. Padgett is also expected to be charged by the prosecutor for delivery of methamphetamine. More arrests are expected as a result of this ongoing investigation into drug dealing on the West End. |
