Bella's Birthday Slideshow Bella's Birthday/Stephenie Meyer Day updates"New Moon" actor to make appearances at LaPush, Bella's Birthday celebrationAnishinaabe Canadian tribe member Tinsel Korey, who plays the Makah Tribe fiancee of a Quileute werewolf Sam Uley in the upcoming "New Moon" film, is making an appearance this week at LaPush and other locations. On Saturday night she is scheduled to be at First Beach for a bonfire photo op for fans. She will be joining Quileute elder and storyteller Chris Morganroth III who will be telling Quileute stories to the fans. In 2008, Morganroth drew hundreds of fans to First Beach for the sundown storytelling event. The beach bonfire is part of the Bella's Birthday/Stephenie Meyer Day celebration being held this weekend at Forks and LaPush. Korey is scheduled to visit Neah Bay on Friday, Sept. 11. Native American actor Solomon Trimble of Portland made an appearance at LaPush during Quileute Days earlier this summer. Sunny weather predicted for Bella's Birthday weekend.Sunny skies with a high about 80 degrees is the weather prediction for Forks for Friday and Satuday, Sept. 11 and 12, with partly cloudy skies on Sunday, Sept. 13. Forks Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center Manager Mike Gurling, who
contributed a number of photos for the book, and hopefully will have time during the busy weekend to join in at the book signing. Author Katherine Kidd is scheduled to sign her Twilight guide book "Experience Twilight" on Saturday, Sept. 12. at the 98331 Gear store on Sol Duc Way in Forks. Special Bella's Birthday 'Twilight' stamped envelope The Forks and LaPush post offices are teaming up to offer a special postmark for "Twilight" fans to commemorate Bella's Birthday during the two-day celebration set for Tillicum Park in Forks on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13. Postmaters Ann Klepps and Laura Huling came up with concept. The oversized 2x4 inch postmark will be available on special red envelopes with a generic 61-cent Happy Birthday stamp. The postmarked envelopes will sell for $5 each. Look for the Forks Post Office booth at Tillicum Park during Bella's Birthday. Other mailing supplies will also be for sale at the booth, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. 'Twilight in Forks: The Saga of the Real Town' sneak preview set A documentary film shot on location in Forks earlier this summer will picture how the Twilight phenomenon has affected Forks and its people. York Baur of Hecklesville Media is releasing the documentary. The DVD documentary is scheduled for release on October 15. A sneak preview is being planned for the Bella's Birthday-Stephenie Meyer Day celebration in Forks on Friday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. in the Forks High School commons. Bella’s Birthday Bash Baseball Throwing Contest and Cake Walk The Forks High School Spartan Football Booster Club Moms is holding a baseball fundraising event at the Bella’s Birthday Bash scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Saturday night, September 12. The event is taking place at the 110 Business Park Roundhouse on LaPush Road. In addition, a "cakewalk" is being held as a fundraiser for the Senior Safe Night 2010 event by the seniors' parents organization. The event will run until all the cake runs out. The games run from 9 p.m. to midnight. The Twilight Music Girls are traveling from California to play a concert at the Bella’s Birthday Bash. Posted Aug. 20, 2009 Updated Aug. 27 Dazzled by Twilight announces Bella's Birthday Special Concert - Twilight Tours author/artist also to make special appearence Dazzled By Twilight in Forks is hosting the Twilight-themed band Mitch Hansen Band on Saturday evening, Sept. 12 for a show tentatively scheduled for 6 –8 p.m. in the “Twilight Lounge” (upstairs in the former Vagabond Restaurant located on the corner of Calawah Way and N. Forks Ave.). The band will also be making “in-store” appearances on Saturday and Sunday to sign copies of their CD’s. Mitch Hansen and his band recently performed at the Forks Twilight Symposium and at the Twi-Con event held recently in Dallas. Dazzled By Twilight is also hosting George Beahm (author) and Tim Kirk (artist) of the Twilight Tours book on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 for book and poster Signings. Special surprises such as custom artwork for attendees of the event and more are being planned. Posted Aug. 19, 2009 The Twilight Music Girls to perform at Bella's Birthday Bash The Twilight Music Girls are traveling from California to perform at Bella's Birthday Bash at the Roundhouse concert area at 110 Business Park on LaPush Road. Leppell’s Flowers & Gifts in Forks is sponsoring the concert. Gates open at 9 p.m. with the concert and Twilight-related activities scheduled to kick off at 10 p.m. The event is to feature games, photo ops, food and a birthday cake. The event that is scheduled to follow Chris Morganroth III's Quileute storytelling session, which begins at sundown at LaPush. In the works are red envelopes with a generic birthday stamp postmarked with the special stamp. The specially-stamped envelopes plus mailing supplies are planned to be for sale by the Forks Post Office at Tillicum Park during the event.
