Marcia Bingham House Lonnie Archibald photo

A 150-foot-tall spruce tree fell the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 18 at about 7:45 a.m. across Forks Chamber of Commerce Director Marcia Bingham's house located on Steelhead Avenue north of Forks. Bingham, who was home at the time, escaped uninjured. She was sitting at her computer not far from where the tree hit her house. There was internal damage with at least one hole punched in the roof as a branch went through the roof and through two closets in the upstairs area. A limb also went through Bingham’s garage wall and into the garage. There was a lot of interior damage as well as roof damage.
