Shedding their locks for love of others

Locks of Love

Bruce Guckenberg contributed photo

Donations to Locks of Love, the non-profit that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss, were made at the annual Forks Relay for Life by (from left) Heather Waldron, Jennifer Guckenberg and Christine King (far right) from Sully’s Drive-In, and Joe Korst from Forks Outfitters. Bruce Guckenberg bet Joe $100 he wouldn’t shave his head, and Bruce lost the bet. Among the hair stylist doing the trimming was Forks High School student Jessica Henry who has twice battled cancer in her young life. The Guckenberg family ladies donated their hair in memory of family member Robert Bray.
