'Shake Out' at statewide earthquake drill

The public is invited to join thousands of people across the state who plan to Drop, Cover, and Hold On on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 10:18 a.m. in the 2012 Great Washington ShakeOut.

"More than 12.5 million people were registered to participate in ShakeOut drills worldwide in 2011. Participating is a great way for your family or organization to become better prepared to survive and recover quickly from big earthquakes," a report from Penelope Linterman of the Clallam County Emergency Management Division, which is a division of the Clallam County Sheriff's Office.
