Algae bloom at Lake Pleasant warning issued

Clallam County Health and Human Services Environmental Health Section is having the bloom tested to determine if the algae bloom is toxic and presents a danger to humans and animals. Results of the tests should be available by January 25, 2013.
The Environmental Health Director, Andy Brastad, advises that people, their pets, and livestock should avoid contact with the lake water. In addition, fish from the lake should be thoroughly cleaned prior to consumption until the toxicity tests are complete.
