It was a rainy 2011 in Forks. The Forks Chamber of Commerce's rain gauge, shown here on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 30, registered 130.36 inches for the year.

The Chamber's Visitor Information Center Manager Mike Gurling emailed this photo of the rain gauge and said visitors to the West End are stopping by to take their photos next to the gauge. Forks is the wettest incorporated city/town in the contiguous 48 states.
