Marine Areas 3 (LaPush) and 4 (Neah Bay) are scheduled to re-open Thursday, June 2 and Saturday, June 4, Thursday and Saturday only, according to a report from the state Fish & Wildlife Department.

There is sufficient halibut quota remaining in Marine Areas 3 and 4 to re-open the recreational halibut fishery for two days. This rule conforms to federal action taken by the Pacific Fisheries Management Council.  Anglers are encouraged to check the state Department of Fish and Wildlife website at www.dfw.wa.gov or hotline for information regarding re-openings.

The 2011 catch quota for these areas is 108,792 pounds.
