Forks High School Class of 2011 valedictorian Brian Santman and salutatorian Lauren Bergstrom received a variety of scholarships at the annual Forks High School scholarship night assembly. Parents, teachers and friends filled the seats in the high school commons auditorium for the program.

Several dozen students received scholarship awards presented by representatives of West End and Clallam County organizations.

Forks Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marcia Bingham announced that in addition to about $60,000 raised in March at the annual Quillayute Valley School District scholarship auction, around an additional $30,000 has since been donated, bringing the 2011 scholarship fund tally up to about $90,000.

Forks High School graduation exercises are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 in the Spartan Gym.
