On Thursday, June 16 beginning at 1 p.m. Primo Construction workers removed the cornerstone of the old Forks High School brick building built in 1925. As predicted, a time capsule was found behind the 1925 marker.  A newspaper dating back to 1925 was removed.  Pictured here (from left) are construction workers Sam Stites and Tony Collins who look on while Quillayute Valley School District Superitendent Diana Reaume and QVSD School Maintenance Supervisor Bill Henderson remove the fragile 1925 newspaper from behind the stone. West End Historical Society member Adria Fuhrman studied the very faded newspaper and determined it was likely an issue about the class.
