ONRC welcomed about 100 native American youth, young adults and tribal educational leaders from all of the tribal nations from the West End and East End of the Olympic Peninsula (Makah, Quileute, Hoh, Quinault, Lower Elwha, Jamestown S’Kallam) for a University of Washington Native Career Planning Day. The event was held Tuesday, March 20. Representatives from 10 departments at the University of Washington traveled to Forks to provide information about applying to UW and financial aid available to them as well as to inspire them to pursue careers in medicine, law, business and the like.
