Swim lessons for young local children were provided by trained instructors on Monday, July 16 at the Forks Aquatic & Athletic Club. Club owner and operator Ruby Swaggerty (center left, arm raised) led the classes. The return of swim lessons in Forks marked a major milestone in the reopening of the Forks pool, which was shuttered for about five years. Prior to the re-start of the lessons, parents needed to drive children to pools in Port Angeles and Sequim for swimming instruction.
