English Twilight fans Lynn Ford and Louise Cuffe (l. to r. center) from Shrewsbury, England are this week making their third trip to Forks. Greeting them are Forks Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Marcia Bingham (left) and Chamber Twilight Greeter Whitney Flagg.
The ladies first traveled to Forks for the release of the Twilight Saga film "Eclipse" in June 2010 and returned in January 2011 to attend at Twilight convention in Seattle with a side trip to the West End. They said the beauty of the West End and the friendliness of its people, along with spending time in the locations central to the Twilight books, continue to draw them half way around the world to Forks. Ford and Cuffe discovered the Twilight books in 2009. They said a visit to Vancouver B.C., the site of actual location filming for the Twilight films is also part of their trip. In Vancouver, they said, Twilight location tours led by Christine Kilpatrick are popular.
"We've made loads of friends in Forks," Ford said. She said a server at Sully's Drive-In recognized them on a return trip, probably due to the many orders for milk shakes they make during their Forks visits.
