Red Devils take battle of the bays

Riding Josiah Greene’s three touchdowns, Neah Bay showed why it’s the top-ranked 8-man football team in the state with a 56-14 non-league win over neighbor and Northwest Football League foe Clallam Bay.

Greene scored on runs of 57, 77 and 60 yards as he racked up 205 yards on the ground for the Devils.

The Devils used a pounding ground game that saw three other runners hit pay dirt in the north shore match.

The Bruins picked up touchdown runs from rookies Casey Randall and Brian Smith for their scoreboard mark.

Neah Bay now has a week off before hosting No. 3-ranked Lummi on Oct. 4.

Clallam Bay travels to Quilcene for a game Saturday.
