Spartans drop league game

Facing a resurgent Rochester team, the Forks football squad dropped an SWL-Evergreen division tilt 7-35 last Friday.
Rochester tailback Tyler Yarber posted a monster game on his home field, running for 270 yards and four touchdowns.
Dimitri Sampson scored the Spartans’ only touchdown with a fourth quarter run.
A penalty nullified a 90-yard kickoff return for Forks earlier in the game.
The loss drops the Sparts to 2-2 in league, 3-4 overall. They stand in fourth place in league standings, tied with Montesano, which lost 6-26 to Tenino last week.
Forks plays Elma (3-1, 3-3) on the road this Friday before returning to host Hoquiam (1-3, 2-5) Nov. 1.
