Representatives of law enforcement agencies including Forks Police Chief Doug Price (from left) and Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Bill Cortani hold American flags during a ceremony to mark the arrival of a rusted, nine-foot-long section of a girder taken from the wreckage of the World Trade Center complex – Ground Zero destroyed by terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. The column was put on display at Forks City Hall on Tuesday, July 26. The beam earlier was put on display at Washburn’s Store in Neah Bay and at the Clallam Bay County Park in Clallam Bay.
