Family First Aid Night

On Thursday, Feb. 22 from 5:30-8 p.m., at the Akalat in LaPush, Quileute Head Start will present a Family First Aid Night.

Everyone is welcome to join in for a night dedicated to educating families on how to prevent, treat, or respond to, medical emergencies and situations.

There will be more than 15 different teams of presenters that will be present to speak about, and demonstrate techniques on, the following topics: choking/obstructed airway, cpr, severe bleeding, burns, hypothermia, broken bones, car safety/accidents, atv safety, pedestrian safety, seizures, water safety, fire safety, car seat safety/car seat checks, concussion, medicine usage, poison control, first aid kits, elder health and safety, bullying/school safety, community safety, and child abuse reporting. There will also be prize raffles.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
