FJH Students of the Month

Abriana Raizel Coil is a 7th grader whose proud parents are Gary Coil and Veronica Chapman. Her favorite subjects in school are Band, Social Studies, and Math, and her favorite food is hamburgers and hotdogs. Her favorite hobbies are drawing and singing, and her dream job is to become a doctor or nurse. One of her teachers said, “Abby is a wonderful student who completes quality work to the best of her ability. She is friendly, kind to others, respectful, and positive; she is always willing to lend a hand, always on task, and always advocating for herself and others. She uses her class time effectively, and I really appreciate her willingness to volunteer and actively participate in class discussions.” Another teacher said, “Abby does her absolute best to succeed and is not afraid to persevere during problems. She will always try to figure out problems on her own, then enlisting her classmates, and then only asking the teacher when all else fails. She is a great addition to our student body.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Abriana!

Nathaniel Murray is a 7th grader whose proud parents are Joshua and Lindsie Murray. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Science, his favorite food is spaghetti, and his favorite hobbies are playing hockey and watching scary movies. His dream job is to become a deacon and also a police officer in a K-9 unit. Staff at FJH report that Nathaniel is a quiet, attentive listener and a polite young gentleman who is respectful to all students and adults. One teacher said, “Nathaniel has transitioned well to the junior high and is modeling Student of the Month expectations every day by being on task, using his class time well, and participating when appropriate. He is kind to all others, including staff. I really appreciate his quiet leadership, sense of humor, and his warm, friendly smile.” Another teacher said, “Nathaniel is a trustworthy young man with a great sense of right and wrong. He is a hard-working student and athlete who is goal-oriented and “GOAL!”-oriented…!” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Nathaniel!

Mason Leinan is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Jim and Shantell Leinan. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Robotics, his favorite food is orange chicken, and his favorite things to do when he in not in school are football, wrestling, playing video games or Airsoft, and hunting. His dream job is to become a mechanical engineer, and his goal this year is to get a 4.0 GPA. One teacher said, “Mason has a wonderful enthusiasm for learning. He thinks outside of the box, and asks the most pertinent and interesting questions. He is very articulate when he wants you to understand his thinking, responsible for his work, willing to use feedback to improve, and engaged in every lesson.” Another teacher said, “I was very impressed how fast Mason caught up with missing work after a sickness. The first day he was back he got multiple days of work, the next morning he turned in three days of thorough homework, and he made up a missing assessment before the grade was even entered. Wow!” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Mason!

Hailey Garcia-Moog is an 8th grader whose proud parents are Jeff Moog and Elaina Garcia-Moog. Her favorite subjects in school are Math and Social Studies, and her favorite food is enchiladas. Hailey’s dream job is to become a physical therapist, and her goal this year is to get straight A’s. One teacher said, “Hailey has a contagious smile and a positive attitude. She puts effort into her work, asks for help when she needs it, and takes school seriously. I am really enjoying getting to know her this year.” Another teacher said, “Hailey has such a nice blend of grace and sweetness, yet an intense work ethic and wicked logical mind. She is exquisitely focused during lessons: actively listening, carefully calculating, always showing all work, and really taking advantage of every minute in class. She is a great leader who leads by example, and I am lucky to have her as my student.” Congratulations on winning Student of the Month, Hailey!
