Property taxes are due Oct. 31, 2018

Clallam County Treasurer, Teresa Marchi, would like to remind the taxpayers of Clallam County that 2nd half property taxes for 2018 are due by Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Property tax payments must be postmarked or dropped off at the Clallam County Courthouse by Wednesday, Oct. 31. Please be aware that mail dropped in a U.S. postal mailbox on Oct. 31 may result in a postmark of Nov. 1 and will be considered delinquent.

To ensure a timely postmark have the post office hand stamp your envelope.

The only drop-off location that remains is the gray drop box located within the circular drive at the Courthouse on Fourth Street. If you require a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope, and we will mail one to you.

The Treasurer’s Office can accept most credit and debit cards, either at the Treasurer’s Office counter or online at www.clallam.net/Treasurer. A convenience fee will be charged by the credit and/or debit card provider.

Payments postmarked or dropped off at the County courthouse after Oct. 31, are delinquent and subject to 1 percent interest in Nov.

On Dec. 1, an additional one percent interest and eight percent penalty will be charged on the amount due.

To access your property tax information on-line, select “Property Search” in the left-hand column on the home-page of the County’s website at www.clallam.net.

If you have any questions regarding your property taxes, please call the Treasurer’s Office at 360-417-2344.

Thank you for your cooperation.
