Upper Hoh River Road Phase 2Construction Activities Upcoming Work

May 21 update

Last week, Interwest Construction Inc. (ICI) continued the excavation work at the east side of the Canyon Creek site, MP 10.5. This work included excavation of the slope and ditch-line, as well as milling a portion of the existing asphalt in the north lane, to establish the slight shift in the new alignment of the roadway. ICI continued preparing the foundation areas of the Canyon Creek bridge, ahead of the pile driving work to be completed the first week of June.

This week, ICI will continue this excavation and slope shaping work at Canyon Creek and will begin installing the erosion control matting on the finished slopes.
