Nell Bylund

Nellie “Nell” M. Bylund passed peacefully on June 28, 2022. She joins her daughter, Pam, and Jake the dog on a peaceful beach.

Nell moved to Forks in 2003 from Spokane, WA to enjoy the hikes and beaches and spend time with her sister, JoAnne Palmer, deceased. Rocks, driftwood and beaches held endless fascination for Nell with beach combing a favorite pass time.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters Pete, Toby, Patti and Paula along with numerous grand, great grand and great, great-grandchildren.

Her passion for dogs, crafting, baking, gardening and canning were well known and appreciated. Her passion for these runs deep within the fabric of our family because of her. She was proud to offer her zucchini bread for Friends of Forks Animals fundraisers.

Preferring dogs over people, Nell opened the Forks, WA doggie daycare she named “Rompin Room” in her home off Brower road. Many dogs came to stay awhile, were lovingly cared for, and returned again and again. Some people too.

Her ashes will be released at a private beach ceremony. Sweet journey Mom, Grandma, Friend and Dog Whisperer…
