The explosive Neah Bay All Star team thrilled on the big stage Friday, despite being slowed by a big Napavine squad in a 17-38 loss in Seattle’s Key Arena during a warm-up game for the Seattle Storm’s WNBA game against San Antonio.

Both teams got to celebrate their time in the big stage with a private autograph and photograph session with Storm star and Olympic gold medalist Sue Bird, who was on the sideline with an injured knee.

The Junior Lady Reds found it tough to find pay dirt against the tall Tigers, and were held to just six points in the first half. The Neah Bay squad found its run for a bit in the fourth quarter, posting seven points.

Courtney Swan led the Lady Reds with nine points. Ruth Moss added four, Hannah Olson two and Laila Greene put two on the board to round out the Neah Bay scoring load.

The Storm topped the San Antonio squad 69-63.
