Clallam County Historical Society’s Annual Garage Sale

The Clallam County Historical Society’s annual garage sale is just around the corner. It is held at the old Lincoln School site at the corner of Eighth and C streets, Port Angeles. Entry to the sale is from the parking lot off Ninth Street. As always, community members have been generous with their donations and new merchandise will be placed on the shelves every day of the sale. Proceeds of the sale benefit the society.

Over 30 volunteers have donated more that 2,300 hours working on the sale since March and they look forward to helping you.

The collectibles department sparkles with items including beautiful crystal, ceramics, postcards and photos. Quilters can find fabric in all colors. Collections of commemorative die-cast metal replicas of cars and trucks, made in England and model trains made in Italy have been added to the shelves. The kitchen department is overflowing with dishes, cookbooks, pots, pans and small appliances. There are books, jigsaw puzzles and games to keep you busy this winter. Jewelry, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, tools, linens, fabrics, crafts, holiday decorations, treasures for your garden, artwork, furniture — you name it, we have it!

The Members Only preview sale is from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24. You can become a member of the society that afternoon (or before) and take advantage of early shopping. Membership rates range from $25-$35. Regular sale days are from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, and Saturday, Aug. 26. Half-price day is Friday, Sept. 1, and “Buck-a-Bag Day” is Saturday, Sept. 2.
