Rayonier awards grants to local charitable organizations

Rayonier announced the award of more than $36,400 to area organizations serving Olympic Peninsula communities. Recipients of the company’s Community Fund grants were recently recognized at a special awards breakfast hosted by Rayonier in Aberdeen and Forks earlier this month.

The Rayonier Community Fund supports a variety of educational, civic, cultural, health and natural resources programs. “Rayonier is proud to call Grays Harbor and Clallam County home for our 29 Washington-based employees for 92 years,” said Bill Monahan, Rayonier’s Pacific Resource Unit Leader, speaking to the Rayonier 2018 grant recipients. “We look forward to this gathering each year when we thank you for the important work you are doing that helps make our community a better place to live and work.”

Rayonier representatives from Forks, Hoquiam and Wildlight, FL, along with Clallam County, WA Commissioner Bill Peach, District 3 and City of Forks, Rod Fleck, Attorney/Planner were present to congratulate and thank those receiving grants.

“Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to hear about the important work you doing in our community. I enjoyed listening how you lend a hand to your community partners when there is a need. It’s great that you work together for the good of our community,” said Rod Fleck, Attorney/City Planner.
