Chess, game and puzzle contests at NOLS

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is hosting free game programs throughout the summer, including several friendly competitions, in celebration of this year’s all-ages Summer Reading Program theme: Level Up at Your Library.

At the Clallam Bay Branch Library, 16990 Hwy. 112, on Thursday, July 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., kids and teens can show off their video game skills in a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament. The winner will earn bragging rights, a Smash Bros. poster and a trophy. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided. The Forks Branch Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., will host the same tournament on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m.
