Lutheran Church to Celebrate 60th in 2027

Seeking Contact Information for Past Friends and Members

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church announces an open invitation to past members and friends of the congregation to come celebrate it’s 60th Anniversary celebration on May 16, 2027. Yes, that is 2027! So, yes, there is time to get ready, but time disappears quickly, so planning has begun.

Like all good parties, the first task is to put together an invitation list. If you or someone you know, local or out-of-area, would like to join the celebration in 2027, please share both your current email address and U.S. postal service address by emailing the information to princep@centurytel.net. The congregation will send out event updates each year until the big event. A formal invitation with finalized event details will be mailed in early 2027.

Not sure about your social calendar in 2027? Who is? Go ahead and sign up now and make your final decision later.

Another general invitation to the Forks community will be sent to the Forks Forum before the event inviting anyone and everyone to come celebrate. Come reflect and share with those who have walked with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at some point in their lives or simply come to share in fellowship with friends as part of a joyous Forks celebration. Information will also be posted on the church website (princeofpeacelutheran.net), Facebook public group site (Prince of Peace Lutheran Church), and Instagram site (Forks PoP Lutheran Church [@forkspoplutheran]) as more specific plans for the day take shape.

Meanwhile, members want to assure you that you don’t need to wait for 2027 to come visit or worship. In-person services are held at 10 a.m. each Sunday, followed by a fellowship hour. All are welcome; the communion table is open. Worship services are also posted live on the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church group site on Facebook. The second Sunday of each month Deacon Don Corson leads an adult Bible study during fellowship. Children’s Sunday school is held during worship, with children participating in the opening and closing of the worship service itself.

Anyone wanting direct notification about upcoming activities and events at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church can send their email address to Sue Trettevik at the church email site (princep@centurytel.net) and will be added to the church email notification list. Questions about Prince of Peace Lutheran Church are welcome as well.
