The winner of the WEBPA $1,000 Shopping Spree was drawn on Saturday, Dec. 16, just after 1 p.m., Steve Luxton of Sequim was the lucky winner. When WEBPA president Christi Baron contacted him he said he was thrilled, but he wanted to donate it to something.

He made a call to a friend, James Jaime with the Quileute Tribe, who suggested he donate it to the Cherish Our Children project. COC just held its annual event to raise money for gifts at Christmas time for children in need in La Push and Forks.

The $1,000 in Santa Bucks will now go to benefit children in need in both communities. Thank you, Steve Luxton for your generosity, and Merry Christmas!
