Become a Forks TAX-AIDE volunteer

Are you good with numbers and good with people? Then consider becoming an IRS-certified TAX-AIDE volunteer, and see what a difference helping others can make in your life! Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Bilingual volunteers are especially in demand.

The TAX-AIDE program is sponsored by the AARP Foundation and the IRS. You don’t need to be an AARP member or retiree to volunteer or to receive free tax preparation services from TAX-AIDE.

Training begins in December. All volunteers do an extensive amount of self-study, using training materials and software provided by the IRS. They must attend several days of training classes in Sequim and pass the IRS Test before providing tax assistance for low- and middle-income members of the Forks community.

New volunteers work with experienced volunteers at the Forks City Hall.

Join our crew of dedicated TAX-AIDE volunteers You’ll work your mind and warm your heart!

Please contact aarp.org/taxaide to complete an online application. Once your application is processed, Hearst Coen, our local coordinator, will be in touch with you.

If you have questions, contact Hearst at 360-452-6541, or hj_coen@msn.com.
