Cello For Peace Concert – Sunday, May 22

How about a relaxing, uplifting, refreshing, and glorious musical experience on a Sunday night, right here, in town, at the Rainforest Arts Center? Coming to entertain and perform for us is Ian Maksin, a genius musician who comes from Leningrad, Russia, lives in Chicago, tours the world, and has included Forks in his West Coast Tour! Amazing but true. We are about to be blessed! What a way to start your week!

Maksin, speaks and sings in 30 languages, plays an incredibly heavenly cello, and sings and plays guitar, anyone for Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” or “Mad World” by Tears for Fears? That’s right! Our little town will be graced with a grand performance you will absolutely not want to miss.

Cello For Peace Concert is on Sunday, May 22 from 7-9 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Rainforest Council of The Arts is graciously sponsoring this event and will provide cookies and water free of charge. The suggested donation is $25 per person with a portion of the proceeds going directly to humanitarian aid in Ukraine. If you are strapped for cash at this time, please donate what you can. If you’d like to donate more, that’d be wonderful and graciously received. You may also buy tickets in advance online through Eventbrite.
