Deputies arrest wanted subject

On Jan. 15, Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputies observed John Planck Robinson, a 32-year-old Forks resident, driving a vehicle westbound on Hwy 101 near Forks. Deputies knew that Robinson had an active DOC warrant with officer caution for being an armed and a violent offender. Deputies were also aware that there was probable cause for Robinson’s arrest for Robbery 1st Degree and Eluding a Police Vehicle.

Deputies attempted to stop Robinson who slowed down, then fled in his vehicle from the traffic stop. Deputies pursued Robinson briefly before Robinson stopped his vehicle and was taken safely into custody.

Robinson was booked into Clallam County Jail for the above charges along with a new count of Eluding a Police Vehicle.

At this time, Detectives will not be releasing any further information regarding the Robbery 1st Degree charge as the case remains under investigation.
