Dozens of high quality items are being donated to be auctioned off during the 2011 Quillayute Valley School District Auction.

Pictured here (left) are three baseball autographed by Major League stars from the past including Bob Feller, Pete Rose and Andre Dawson. The balls were contributed by a Twilight fan from Texas who sent similar items to the 2010 auction.

Muriel Huggins has again donated a valuable woven basket to the auction. This time a white oak and hickory bark basket with a cherry wood base. The basket was made in 1988 by Tom and Connie McCalley from West Virginia.

The wood shop craftsmen at the Olympic Corrections Center have again come through with a number of handcrafted wood items including a replica of a chopper motorcycle, a supercharged four-wheel drive monster truck, a fancy sled pulled by winged horses, a wardrobe featuring fancy grained wood, an ornate wooden lamp with a carved wooden shade, a wooden model of the Seattle Space Needle and more.

The auction is moving online this year, with items to be shown on display at www.qvsdauction.com. The auction is set for the Bank of America building on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.
