Fire Calls August-September – Clallam Fire Protection Dist. #1

Aug. 1 – 9:42 a.m. A small forest fire spreading from make-shift camp on USFS land road FS2918-Beaver Station

Aug. 2 – 12:28 p.m. Installed smoke detectors at Stevens Circle. 10:31 p.m. Vehicle swerved to miss a deer and hit a power pole on Whitcomb Dimmel Rd. Driver not injured.

Aug. 3 – 1: 26 p.m. Dispatched to Fuhrman Rd. for smoke, was a burn barrel, resident was advised the fire did not meet the recreational fire requirements and the fire was extinguished. 4:38 p.m. Ash Ave. smoke triggered alarm, alarm reset. 9:57 p.m. Elk Loop large recreational fire not in pit, resident was advised to extinguish.

Aug. 4 – 10:37 a.m. Mary Clark Rd., appox. one-acre burning, DNR notified and responded.

Aug. 5 – 1:46 a.m. Trillium Ave., FPD reported fire from an unknown source, was not a structure fire. 4:21 p.m. 2000 Block Calawah Way Fire not in a fire pit also burning material that didn’t meet recreational fire requirements, fire extinguished.

Aug. 6 – 12:37 p.m. Robin Hood Loop medical call ambulance required.

Aug. 9 – 1:01 p.m. Spartan Ave. Alarm. Forks Station 1:34 p.m. La Push Rd., Brush fire reported, turned over to DNR. 4:15 p.m. Hwy 101 MP 157 Assisted Forks EMS with fractured ankle removed an injured swimmer from the beach.

Aug. 10 – 10:42 p.m. Hwy 101 responded to two vehicle accident.

Aug. 12 – 3000 Block Calawah Way recreational fire, no violation, met requirements.

Aug. 15 – 1:15 p.m. Two Cousins assisted Forks Ambulance.

Aug. 16 – 3:04 a.m. Mora Rd., garage fire.

Aug. 18 – 10:58 a.m. Tillicum Lane Dumpster fire.

Aug 19 – 8:46 p.m. Klahndike Blvd. motorcycle accident, possible DIU.

Aug. 20 – 9:18 p.m. 1750 Calawah Way recreational fire, fire extinguished due to burn ban. 9:49 p.m. 100 Block Calawah Way person in possible distress reported.

Aug. 21 – 500 Bogachiel Way smoke reported, no emergency smoke from British Columbia fires.

Aug. 24 – 8:37 a.m. 400 Block Forks Ave., two vehicle non-injury accident WSP investigated.

Aug 26 – 2:33 p.m. Hwy 101 MP 213 possible brush fire, fire extinguished.

Aug. 31 – 7:20 a.m. Hwy 101 MP 197 one-vehicle accident near Iverson Rd. Accident was called in twice. Forks Station

Sept. 4 – 6:33 a.m. Hwy 101 MP214 unconcious driver reported, just sleeping

Sept. 5 – 8:35 a.m. Hwy 101 MP 185 Mill fire, traffic control needed, due to size of fire and involvement defensive attack only. One firefighter required medical treatment. Cause of the fire was unknown.

Sept. 6 – 5:35 a.m. Hwy 101 MP 195 responded to a minivan-motorcycle accident.

Sept. 8 – Leppell Rd. unattended grease fire, smoke damage and damage to stove.

Sept. 10 – 3:54 p.m. Merchant Rd. medical call.

Sept. 13 – Medical call

Sept. 14 – Bogachiel Way medical call

Sept. 16 – 8:27 p.m. Double wide trailer being drug caught fire in the middle of the street.

Sept. 17 – 10:44 a.m. Hollow Rd. tree down, cleared by firefighters.

Sept. 18 – 5:05 p.m. Elderberry Ave. False Alarm.

Sept. 19 – 7:22 p.m. 600 Block Bogachiel Way, recreational fire no problem found.

Sept. 21 – 12:44 a.m. Camas Ave., commercial fire alarm set off, alarm reset.

Sept. 24 – 10:57 a.m. Fauna Lane, installed smoke detectors provided by the Red Cross.

12:37 p.m. K St. Smoke detectors installed.

Sept. 26 – 1400 Block Calawah Way utility lines down.

9:25 p.m. Hwy 101 vehicle accident involving a stolen vehicle, WSP on scene.

Sept 27 – 3:44 p.m. 300 Block Forks Ave. fire alarm pulled, no emergency.

Sept. 28 – 11:46 a.m. Hoh Mainline Rd. Dumptruck hit bridge, fuel spill, driver not injured.

Sept 29 – 1:33 a.m. E. Division St. fire alarm going off. 10:25 a.m. Elderberry Ave. Alarm. 1:51 p.m. St Francis Circle smoke detectors installed.
