Turkey, Santa Bucks drawings

A West End Business & Professional Association Holiday Promo Win Turkeys in November and Santa Bucks in December!

 

• Every Saturday from now through Dec. 22

 

• Nov. 17 – WEBPA Turkey Drawings at Forks Outfitters at 1:00 p.m .Three turkey winners drawn.

 

• Nov. 24, Dec. 1, Dec. 8, Dec. 15. WEBPA Santa Bucks Drawings at Forks Outfitters at 1:00 p.m. $100 in Santa Bucks is given away – one $50 winner and two $25 winners.

 

• Dec.  22 WEBPA Santa Bucks Drawings at Forks Outfitters at 1:00 p.m. $275 in Santa Bucks is given away – one $200 winner, one $50 winner, one $25 winner. Grand $1,000 Shopping Spree drawing is also held this Saturday. Tickets for the $1,000 drawing are available for sale at $1 each from WEBPA members and will be sold right up to the last minute the day of the drawing at Forks Outfitters. All winners must be present to win (except for the $1,000 Shopping Spree) and winning tickets must be official WEBPA blue tickets. A person can only win once each Saturday. The largest prize is drawn first.

 

Cherish Our Children

The annual Cherish Our Children fundraiser to provide Christmas gifts to needy children in La Push and Forks is set for Saturday, Nov. 30 at the A-Ka-Lat Center at LaPush and features live and silent auctions, dinner and live entertainment, and craft tables featuring top craft makers from LaPush and the West End.

 

Annual Twinkle Lights Holiday Parade

The Annual Twinkle Lights Holiday Parade, which runs down Forks Ave. in downtown Forks, is set for Saturday, Dec. 1 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. the event is sponsored and staged by JT’s Sweet Stuffs. Look for floats created by local businesses and organizations decorated with lights.

 

Moonlight Madness

Spend an evening in downtown Forks shopping for big bargains at downtown merchants who place select items on sale for one evening only on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Merchants have special bargains, gifts and prizes. The event immediately follows the Twinkle Light Parade and is sponsored by the West End Business and Professional Association.

 

18th Annual Festival of Trees

The theme of the Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rainforest’s 18th Annual Festival of Trees is “There’s a Song in the Air.”

 

The event is held at the Forks Congregational Church with an open house on Saturday, Dec. 8  from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 9 when doors open at 1:00 p.m. with an auction for the decorated Christmas trees beginning at 2:00 p.m. Proceeds go towards local scholarships and grants, Forks Middle School programs and other projects that support the children of Forks.

 

Local community organizations and teams of tree trimmers decorate the trees with unique themes.

 

Violence prevention workshop

The  Forks Abuse Program has announced a six-week Violence Prevention Workshop to be held in November and December for parents and caregivers of children.

 

The dates are : Wednesday, Nov. 7, 14 and 28;  and Dec. 5, 12 and19 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

 

The workshops will be at the Forks Community Center, 91 Maple Ave.
