Lake Crescent Traffic Report-Hwy 101 Rehab Project: October 28

For the week of Oct. 28, the work to restore the roadway width and shoulder area in front of the rock wall near milepost 229 will continue with the series of 4-hour delays. Concrete barriers are in place which reduce the work zone to one lane and temporary traffic signals are set up to control alternating single-lane traffic before/after work hours and on weekends.

Crews are scheduled to complete the last of five concrete pours on Monday, Oct, 28 during the 4-hour delay.

The series of 4-hour delays follow a set schedule from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Mondays through Thursdays until no longer needed. During these 4-hour periods, Highway 101 eastbound from Forks is open to the turn for Barnes Point where Lake Crescent Lodge is located. Highway 101 westbound from Port Angeles is open up to mile marker 232/East Beach Road. Travelers to and from the western side of the peninsula can use State Route 112/113 as an alternate route during the delays.

Outside of the 4-hour delays, drivers should expect delays for a pilot car to lead alternating single-lane traffic through the work zone during weekday work hours. Traffic signals are in use before/after work hours and on weekends.
