Library seeking furniture makers

The North Olympic Library System is asking local craftspersons to submit proposals for custom furniture to be used in the Forks Library, which is undergoing a major renovation.

The library is seeking 10 pieces of custom furniture including tables, bookcases and a bench.

The library will consider artisans’ design, materials, portfolio, experience and price when choosing the successful bidder.

Quotes are due Friday, Aug. 23.

Furniture must be ready for delivery Oct. 1.

The low bidder will not necessarily be automatically selected and the library reserves the right to reject all bids.

Interested parties can find the specifications for the furniture on the NOLS website: www.nols.org. Copies also can be picked up at the library’s temporary location in the West End Business and Technology Center at 71 N. Spartan Ave.

Questions can be directed to West End Library Supervisor Theresa Tetreau at 360-374-6402, Ext.7793 or by e-mail at Forks@nols.org.
