In September 2016 Jeremiah Signor and his friend Jose Jimmicum wrote a letter and put it in a pop bottle and threw it into the water off of Slip Point in Clallam Bay. Last Friday they got a letter from Vancouver Island saying someone had found it.

That, someone, was a lighthouse keeper named Justine Etzkorn at the Carmanah Point Light Station. Carmanah Point Light Station is a lighthouse on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island at the entrance from the Pacific Ocean to the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

Jeremiah’s mom Tonia Signor said, “I remember thinking well that’s the last they’ll ever hear of that bottle!” So wasn’t she surprised when they got a response last week!
