Many environment groups work hard to “save the old-growth” but what about old-growth Scotch Broom? Recently Scott DePew and his Olympic Corrections Center Community Service Crew found the granddaddy of all Scotch Broom and took photos to prove it.
Scott’s neighbor John Newhouse had earlier shown Scott a vase he made on the lathe with a smaller scotch broom that John, himself had come across. Scott was going to show John this find and see what could be made from it. Submitted Photos
