Rite Bros. new W. R. Fairchild International Airport tenant

Jeff Well, owner Rite Bros Aviation was the guest program at the March 7 Chamber of Commerce meeting. Calling himself a ‘jack of all trades’ Well shared his newest role as the new tenant at the William R. Fairchild International Airport in Port Angeles.

Well said he grew up in Quilcene, Port Angeles and now lives in Joyce. “I have flown all over the peninsula and sort of know everybody,” Well shared.

He attended Peninsula College and the UW, worked for an airline, and spent some time gold mining. Well describes his invitation from the Port to move into the terminal a good move. A new control center has been added to the terminal and now offers passengers more room too. His biggest challenge in the move was getting the phone and internet service moved.

Rite Bros offers charter flights, flying lessons and sightseeing adventures. “Our ‘backyard’ is massive,”Well said. “I have had a chance to fly every nook and cranny, and fabulous mountains and valleys.”

Well said they sell time, “In a family crisis if somebody needs to get to Seattle, we can get them there fast.”

The company offers four planes and car rentals too. Well said he has flown Oprah and the president of Pepsi, but, he didn’t recognize Oprah.

Well said his on demand charter service can take passengers anyplace that has an airport, paved or grass, and shared a few stories about landing on some private islands.

Well said the scheduled service just didn’t pencil out financially, and he hopes the service he is offering will work for the Port’s needs, saying so far the partnership has been good.

Rite Bros is open 24/7, and is permitted to offer scenic flights over Olympic National Park, which is always dependant on the weather.
