The Washington State Patrol reports a rollover accident occurred Tuesday, Dec. 25, at about 11:33 a.m., near Fairholme. Twenty-five-year-old Forks resident Katelynn Kerschner was traveling eastbound when her vehicle crossed the center line.

WSP reports the driver overcorrected and lost control veering off the road and hitting a large rock in the eastbound ditch, the vehicle then flipped and rotated coming to rest on its top facing west in the westbound lane, the cause of the accident was due to driving too fast for conditions.

Kershner was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported. The vehicle was totaled and impounded by Peninsula Towing.
