SAVE THE DATE -Maritime Heritage Symposium Oct. 18

The City of Forks, Maritime Washington National Heritage Area, and NOAA’s Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary are hosting a West End Maritime Heritage Symposium on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Olympic Natural Resources Center (1455 S Forks Ave, Forks, WA 98331).

Maritime heritage is the history and connection that people have with the marine environment. This broad legacy includes not only physical resources, such as pre-contact archaeological sites and historic shipwrecks, but also archival documents, oral histories, traditional seafaring, and Indigenous knowledge. Join us as we share information on various maritime heritage projects and topics on the Olympic Coast.

This event is free and open to the public. Please plan to bring your own lunch or to go off-site for lunch.

Meeting agenda to be shared soon.
