Souper Bowl of Caring results

The Forks Congregational Church produced a surprising donation for our local Food Bank on Super Bowl Sunday. The collection taken in the Soup Pot at worship service had a surprising total of $1,758.50.

Then the church council met after worship and voted to give our annual pledge of $2,000 to our local food bank for a grand total of $3,758.50.

Pastor Johnson said, “The generosity of this small but generous congregation that loves to serve their community continues to surprise me.”

The nationwide Souper Bowl of Caring has raised over 168 million on Super Bowl Sunday since it came into existence to help stamp out hunger in our nation. All donations of food and money go to support local food banks.
