Students, teachers gather on last day

Just about the entire student body, teaching and administration staff gathered on Wednesday morning, June 15 to mark the end of instruction in the brick walled section of Forks High School.

Forks High School Librarian arranged the photo to coincide with the last day of the 2010-2011 school year, and of the boxing up and moving of the library’s books and other learning materials.

The building, which is slated for demolition includes the library and a wing of classrooms, and has been home to Spartan students for decades. The facilities are being replaced with the new addition to the high school, which is under construction. The new  building will feature a 21st century-equipped library and classrooms, and be heated by wood-fired bio-mass plant that was completed last year at the high school.
