VFW Auxiliary to host Family Freedom Fun Festival Saturday, Feb. 15

The VFW Auxiliary will host the third annual Family Freedom Fun Festival Saturday, Feb. 15 at the VFW from 10 a.m. to noon. Games, fun, prizes and more! Learn about our National Anthem, how our flag was designed and what the colors mean.

Design your own Flag or crack a secret code. Go on a historical treasure hunt. Learn to fold our flag. All this and more!

Ever wonder how our National Anthem came to be? … Or why our flag was designed and the symbolism behind said design? Perhaps you’ve wondered about secret codes or how they work. Explore these answers at the VFW, across from the Intermediate School for the Family Freedom Fun Festival.

This is an event for all ages but the focus is on elementary and intermediate aged students. It is a time for exploration into our country’s history through fun and games. Projects are designed to occupy the entire two hours; however, all are invited to drop in as their time permits. There will be a door prize and of course treats! This event is free and open to the public. For more information call, Janet Hughes 360-640-1401.
