Crafty Critters 4-H Club Plays Poultry Jeopardy and Plants Chives

On Sunday, April 9, the Crafty Critters 4-H Club held its monthly business meeting at the ICN Building on Spartan Avenue.

The members discussed upcoming poultry events, Kitsap County 4-H Camp and other business. Then the members got into teams to play Jeopardy! Poultry Edition 1.1.

They shared their knowledge of a variety of questions and answers about poultry vocabulary, egg facts and chicken parts identification through the game.

This was an opportunity to practice poultry judging before the Clallam County Fair.

Next, club members learned to plant chives under the leadership of Linda Wells, Olympic Peninsula District co-director of the National Garden Club, and Kris Ayers, co-president of the Bogachiel Garden Club. Wells shared information about landscaping careers and scholarships for those who participate in this project sponsored by the Bogachiel Garden Club under the National Garden Club.
