Clallam County Fair Royalty announces six candidates running for fair royalty for the 2026 year. The royalty coronation that will determine the court is set for Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. p.m. at the Home Arts Building at the Clallam County Fairgrounds. Coronation is free and open to the public. Fair royalty candidates are high school students from Clallam County. The 2026 theme is Stars, Stripes and County Fair Nights. Forks Middle School students wait their turn to speak during the Veterans Assembly held Monday afternoon in the Forks High School gym. Forks Elementary students performed several songs, the school band played, and the Forks Community Orchestra shared a piece written in 1927 by James Egbert, the district’s first superintendent and founder of Forks High School. Local veterans in attendance were recognized, and a slideshow honored their service.
