Soroptimists: Celebrating 100 Years

Soroptimist Clubs all around the world are celebrating the 100th year of Soroptimists.

Some are holding parades, some have banners hanging in their communities, some are hosting open houses, etc.

Your local Soroptimists painted 100 rocks and will start hiding them on October 1 around the West End. You may see some uptown, in LaPush, Beaver, the beach, your neighborhood, etc.

There will be 10 rocks that have numbers 1-10 on the bottom of them. If you happen to find one of those rocks then you can take it to Second Chances and you will receive a Coffee Card from any one of the local coffee stands.

The days and hours that Second Chances is open are Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday 12 – 4 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Happy Rock Hunting and thanks for all your support over the years.

Here’s to another 100 years of Soroptimists dedicated to bettering the lives of women and children everywhere. #bestforwomen
