-Ms. French

Brandon Aranda

Brandon works hard to learn the content and asks great questions.

-Ms. French

Leslie Hernandez Beltran

Leslie loves to make connections with her new knowledge. She learns for the fun of it.

-Ms. French

Hector Garcia Dominguez

It is a joy to watch Hector learn. He exclaims aloud when finding new information, pauses to look inwardly, asks challenging questions- then listens for the answers playing with what he knows to build meaning.

-Mrs. Archibald

Flora Horjesi

Flora always brings 110% to algebra class. She not only pays close and careful attention during notes, but she is always asking deeper questions and desiring to challenge herself and learn and grow more in mathematics. She constantly asks me for more work to do and problems to solve! It’s amazing! She is naturally curious, and her love of learning always shines in her classroom. Through this, she is a fantastic model to her peers and a wonderful student.

-Ms. Fuller

Aliya Gillett

Aliya works efficiently on all of her assignments and strives to earn the highest grade possible. Her love of learning is not only apparent through her personal achievements. She is the first to volunteer when helping other students, passing on knowledge and success.

-Ms. Highfield

Theodore Snell

Theo comes to art class ready and excited to create every day. Theo has a delightful attitude and is constantly seeking new ways to make and think about art. This student is currently working on two projects simultaneously in Art II; a wonderful acrylic painting of a rocket engine, and a linoleum block mixed-media collage. Theodore is always eager to listen to criticism, suggestions, and interpretations and typically pours into the possibilities of using them to enhance the artwork being made. Furthermore, Theodore is always willing to offer help to peers and positively revels in the success of others. I cannot think of a better person to commend as a Student of Character. You can see a couple of Theo’s paintings in the hallway outside of the art room.

-Mr. Cavill

Flora Horejesi

Flora is quite often the first student that arrives in my classroom for advisory. Before she even walks all the way in, her first question is, “What are we going to do today?” Sometimes, she’ll even ask me in the hallway before I’m even in the classroom yet. I truly enjoy her eagerness, passion, and mind. She works hard, fixes mistakes with clear understanding, and gets excited about learning! She’s such a great student!

-Mrs. Vander Veur

Klaton Helvey

Klayton is a student who constantly seems surprised and excited about his learning in the art room. He is almost always one of the first students to complete the bare minimum requirements and is consistently eager to push himself further. Klaton frequently asks probing questions about the artmaking process and uses his keen curiosity to embellish, enhance, and improve his work. He is rarely satisfied with what he’s learned and is always looking for ways to improve his art-making and understanding. He is a hard-working student whose tenacity in the art room has paid off with some elegant pieces, a couple of which you will find in the hallway outside the art room.
