SEKIU – Beginning this week, travelers on State Route 112 between Neah Bay and Sekiu in Clallam County will want to plan extra time for their trips.
Work begins on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at two sites on SR 112 – Rasmussen Creek (milepost 4.6) and the Hoko River (milepost 11.4). Contractor crews will rebuild two areas of hillside adjacent to the highway at Rasmussen Creek. Repairs are also planned for the eroded riverbank near the highway at the Hoko River. These sites were damaged during powerful winter storms in January.
Travelers should expect to see one-way alternating traffic at both sites. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Monday through Saturday for about three weeks. Please plan for delays.
Remember to slow down and pay attention in work zones.
