Hoh Road Construction

Construction Activities and Upcoming Work

Last week, Interwest Construction, Inc. (ICI) completed the partial demolition of the existing bridge at Tower Creek (MP 7.8). ICI subcontracted Snell Crane to remove two of the five girders from the bridge. These girders will be demolished and disposed of off-site. The remainder of the bridge remains intact and will continue to function as the temporary bypass until it is completely removed following the completion of the new bridge later this summer.

This week, ICI will construct the formwork and rebar around the driven piles at each bridge abutment to prepare for pouring the concrete pile caps. ICI will also continue to receive material for Engineered Log Jam (ELJ) construction.
