Washington State Patrol is reporting that on Sunday, July 14, just after 8 a.m. Alexander L. Trapp, age 48 of Seattle, was riding a 2014 BMW G650 motorcycle, traveling eastbound on SR110 (La Push Rd.) at MP 3. The memo states that a deer entered the roadway from the eastbound shoulder, Trapp’s vehicle struck the deer and he was ejected. The rider and deer came to rest on the fog line 75 feet east of the impact point. The motorcycle came to rest blocking the eastbound lane. SR110 was blocked for 6 hours. WSP reports that Trapp was injured and transported by air to Harborview. The cause of the accident was wildlife in the roadway. WSP further reports that a USDOT-compliant helmet was worn and drugs/alcohol were not involved; NO CHARGES -the vehicle had reportable damage – Rigby’s Auto Body took charge of the vehicle.
